Red gold

Saffron is the world’s oldest spice, and is known as a source of culinary flavour and colour. Saffron also has a medicinal working, and has been used since antiquity for its healing effect on body and mind. Saffron was traditionally especially grown in Iran.

But ‘the red gold’ is also cultivated in the Netherlands and the surrounding countries, particularly for export and the catering industry. Kwekerij Luring is part of this production.

Our craftsmanship and pure love of the product mean we want to enable as many people as possible to grow saffron themselves.
